Vincent DiBello '23 Recruiting Profile

2022 All-American Nominee! East All-Region Team, NY All-State, Section VI Player of the Year & League Player of the Year, 3x 1st Team All-Conference, 2x 1st Team All-Area. 

My name is Vincent DiBello a 2023 Forward, I'm currently 17 years old and live just north of Buffalo, NY. This season I transitioned to playing UPSL from ECNL. Previously, I played 4 seasons in ECNL (Ohio Valley Conference) for the WNY Flash, we made it to the ECNL National Playoffs twice during my time there.  I led the team in overall points between goals & assists.  In 2020, I was identified as a Player to Watch from the conference and invited to attend the ECNL Conference Selection Program in Ohio which unfortunately ended up being cancelled due to Covid. 

I’m currently a Senior at Niagara Wheatfield High School (Class A1- Large School), I just finished my 4th Varsity Season as Captain. Helped lead my team with 35 goals this season to win the 2nd Sectional Title in school history. I recently was voted Player of the Year, I led Section VI large schools in goals. I've been a starter since my Freshman year playing Striker, I hold two school records for Most All-Time Goals & Most Goals in a Single Season. Last season, we won the second ever league championship in school history, definitely another top memorable moment in my HS soccer career! I was also nominated for HS All-American and named to the East All-Region Team, NY All-State and selected 1st Team All-League Sophomore - Senior year and selected 1st Team All-Western New York Junior - Senior year. I've been fortunate to end my HS career with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime, I gave it everything and together as a team we achieved some extraordinary goals! 

I’m a physical forward with both speed and passing as my strength.  I have solid awareness of developing plays on the field and a strong defensive work ethic to ensure possession. My hobbies include kayaking and fishing. My goal is to continue to work hard to further my education and hopefully have the opportunity to play soccer and compete at the collegiate level.
