Tai Torres '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tai Torres, I am 17 yrs old and I'm a hardworking soccer player. I am truly dedicated to this sport. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old and began competing with travel teams by the age of 7. I am an athlete who knows the game of soccer. I am a 5'10" and weigh 145 lbs. I am versatile on the field starting at right wing for years and now start at center back. Some of my most important accomplishments were being made team captain for my CSA Travel Soccer team for 3 years, being named MVP of my Junior Varsity HS team, being honored with the Coach’s award on my Varsity HS team and being chosen for the CHSAA All League Team as a Junior. I have played in 2 State Cup teams, winning one. I also made it to 2 City Championships with my HS team. I am also a sprinter running a 400 and a 200 (24 seconds flat) for the HS Varsity team. 

When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are very big. I mainly am looking at East coast states,  but I am very open to going anywhere. I am open minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play soccer I will be happy. My top two choices for a major as of right now are either History Education or NROTC Marines. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process

My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to be an example to those after me. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest. I am incredibly passionate about this sport and can promise to always work hard and never give up. I am always the first on the field and the last to leave.
