Matthew Bessler '14 Recruiting Profile

Soccer is my passion and I have been playing it year-round for many years.  If I had my wish, I would be playing soccer professionally, but just in case that doesn't work out, I have been applying myself in school and excelling in the Math and Science fields. I am looking to major in an engineering field.  As a soccer player, I am always trying to improve and get better as I take great pride in playing my Center Left Defender position. In addition to stopping any developing play from turning into a scoring opportunity, I am always looking ahead to make the right pass that will give us the best chance to turn the momentum back in our favor.  I can also play Mid-Field or Forward and can shoot with either my left or right foot if needed. My goal is to play at the D1 level.  Otherwise, I would consider playing at a  DII or DIII level if it meant extended playing time for me and offered me my desired majors.
