When I was young soccer was my life and I loved it however it was only until 7th grade when I stopped playing soccer as I went up to Varsity Cross-Country which I felt was the best decision for me at the time, and wouldn't be back playing soccer until my Junior year of high school. Coming from a small school, my Junior year I had the ability to dual sport soccer and cross-country and realized how much I had missed playing this game for the four years I missed out on and this is a game that I am truly passionate about and enjoy every second I'm on the field. From playing my Junior season as starting sweeper and back up goaltender I was able to control the field and quickly becoming a leader on my team. Even from taking four years off of this and stepping back onto the field with a lack of experience, at the end of the year I was still selected to be a Section II Class D second team All-Star which I believe is a great accomplishment but also shows how much left I have to improve in the years to come.
I am constantly busy being a 3+ sport athlete each school year, maintaining a high GPA and being number 2 in my class, and participating in many extracurricular activities and being an active member in my school and student body. I am a very driven and hard worker in everything I do and look to be the absolute best I can be in each activity I participate in. I am very academically driven and when selecting a college, I would prefer a strong engineering and/or science program in that college as well as being recruited to play soccer for that college. I am looking to participate in the highest level of soccer I am able to play at because I believe the competition you play should drive that player to work even harder and become that much better to compete and achieve at that level of play and I am ready for that challenge. During my college career I am looking to challenge myself academically as well as on the field and with my focus on only soccer and my college classes during college and not the multiple other sports I play and my extracurricular's of High School, I feel I would be able to rapidly excel in both soccer and my academics.
