Keegan Frenya '15 Recruiting Profile

I would like to pursue my major Biology/Pre-Dentistry in College. My Grandfather, and two Uncles are Dentist. I also have a deep passion for Soccer. I am actively visiting Div I, II, and III schools and talking with coaches on a regular basis of schools that I think have both academics and soccer. 

I recently have been selected for my third year in 2014 with the Eastern New York Region I Olympic Development Program. I am a Junior at Seton Catholic High School and will graduate in 2015. I just finished up my high school season and heading into sectionals with a NYSSWA H.S. team rank of #14 and as an individual goal scorer at #7. We placed second in the NSL in our section and are the Saranac Intivitational Tournament champions. Just this past year I attended the Lazio Cup in the Latina Region (near Rome Italy). It is one of the top rated tournaments in Europe. Our ODP 1997 team played Fiorentina Acadamy, Brazil and Boville Ernica Italia team. I also qualified for the 18 player Eastern NY Region I Team each year and attended the ODP Regional Tournament and ID Camp. I have participated in a club team since the age of four with strong support from State University of New York (SUNY Plattsburgh) coaches. Our club has made a significant impact in the Capital District. I will be playing for the Plattsburgh FC U18 premier travel team which will be very strong this year with several state champions and all stars, high school Varsity team for three years and three years with Eastern NY Region I ODP. I have attended the NY Redbull Residential Development School, the University of Vermont Striker School, Plattsburgh Football Camp & HS Prep, Futsal & Footskills clinics. Last year I explored leaving high school and attended tryouts for the Montreal Impact Sports Study Program and Academy and attended Shattuck St. Mary's US Academy Prospect Weekend in Faribault, Minnesota. I decided to stay at my local catholic high school and maintain my goals with soccer. Academically, I have taken a solid college preparatory program at Seton maintaining a B average. Also, this past year I attended the 2013 North Country Model United Nations and also very active in Key Club, Journalism and community service.
