When someone asks me what I enjoy doing, the immediate answer is playing soccer. For me, soccer has been more than just a sport, it has been a love and passion for me for as long as I can remember. I began to play on my first soccer team when I was just 6 years old, for a local rec league (Clarkstown FC) and immediately fell in love with the sport. Once that first season of rec soccer was over I instantly knew I wanted to become more serious and step up the level of play. Therefore, I moved on to play on my first travel team at the age of 7 on a U8 team for Clarkstown FC. There I learned the basic and fundamental aspects and of the game. I played for Clarkstown until I was 11. Then, I moved on to play for Rockland FC as I still do currently. Here I play on the U16 team as starting center back. I am also captain of this team which taught me how to lead my fellow teammates and be an influential player on the team.
Once I entered High School I played on Clarkstown South's Junior Varsity team for 9th grade as the starting center back. Last year I played on Clarkstown South's varsity team as the starting center back, as I still do now. This year my coach has put me as one of the two captains on the team. This opportunity has allowed me to better understand how to lead a team, and bring a group of boys together. Looking past my high school years I have goals of playing in college and continuing my love for the sport.
