My name is Bryan Green and I am eager to continue my soccer path as a midfielder at the next level in high school. I am a raising senior at Apex High School in North Carolina. I have a 3.1 GPA and continue to take honors and AP classes. My main passion is playing and further developing my soccer skills, however when I’m not playing soccer I enjoy time with my family, volunteering, attending other sporting events and playing golf.
I am predominately an offensive midfielder and have experience playing defensive midfielder as well. I currently am a starting midfielder on my club team NCFC U17 ECNL. This year we finished ECNL Nationals in San Diego in the top 16. My personal stats from the season were 5 goals and 14 assists as the leading point scorer. In addition, I have been a starting member of Apex High School men’s varsity soccer team since my sophomore year. In addition to achieving 4AA All Conference in the fall of 2023, I was voted by my teammates and coaches Most Outstanding Player. I was also the second leading scorer for my position in our conference.
Soccer has been “my sport” since I was three years old. The game of soccer is more than a sport to me. It is a passion and a way of life. At an early age, I decided to play half the game as goalie and half the game as a field player. Playing the position of goalie gave me the ability to understand the game from all positions not just one. I believe foot skills, accuracy and ball control are all important in the game, but I do believe understanding the fundamentals of soccer are equally as important. Recognizing a play or two ahead allows for quick decision making when receiving the ball.
Midfielder is my primary position and I have worked very hard on my speed and accuracy of ball distribution to a teammate or in the net. Some of my achievements as a midfielder include captain for two years on my NCFC team, leading scorer on my club Elite team with 13 goals and 11 assists in 21 games, qualifying for Nationals with my club team in 2022 and 2024 (advanced to top 16), as well as winning the Jefferson Cup in 2019,2020,2022. Most recently I was voted captain of our varsity high school team.
It has always been a goal of mine to play soccer at the university level. I am dedicated to work hard and motivated to find the right fit for the next step in my soccer journey!
