Ben Yang '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. Since I first stepped on the soccer field, I have dreamed of playing at the next level.  For me playing college soccer is a once and a lifetime opportunity that could change my life.  

I am strong at saving shots, good on the ball, good at communication, and have good mental toughness. I am a good team leader and lead by example for the team's underclassmen. I strive to be one or if not the hardest working players you’ll find. 

I practice four times a week with my club and everyday during high school soccer season. Even when I'm not playing soccer I'm always watching a game or talking about soccer.  In the offseason, I have also taken up goalie-specific workouts to improve my core, footwork, and, strength.  

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I have been on the Honor Roll every year in high school and made the Headmaster High Honor Roll in my Freshman year. I also work twice a week at my family's restaurants and have over twenty-five service hours. 

I want to attend a college where I can push myself to be the best person I can be. I am open to all options and I ultimately want to find a college that's a perfect match for me. I hope to be a good role model to all my peers, and make my parents proud of the man I strive to be.
