I initially became interested in soccer when I was about 7 years old. I was watching my older brother play and then my brother’s coach saw me playing with the ball he suggested that I sign up with a soccer team to give it a try. I was 8 years old when I started playing recreational soccer and I really enjoyed playing the game so I felt encouraged to tryout for a more competitive team and was selected. It was at this stage of playing the sport that prompted me to take the game more seriously. Through lots of hard work and perseverance I managed to make it to play at top level classic then DA and within 3 years. I was very fortunate to have great coaches along the way to help me.
I would say the main thing coaches see in me is my creativity, quick thinking, and foot skills, which I possess thanks to the extra training I do off the field such as skill training, strength training, DA futsal, and individual training over the years.
My academic goals for the future are to study how nutrition impacts sport performance, because this will benefit myself and others, and also I enjoy the subject as it is closely related to soccer.
Over the years of playing soccer I have learned a lot about myself as a person such as my work ethic and attitude.
