Braxton Walker '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Braxton Walker. I am currently 18 years old, and I am a senior in high school at River-Mill Academy. I have always dreamed and aspired of playing at the college level, and to later play for a league. I've always been extremely passionate about soccer for as long as I can remember as I love this sport with all I have. Growing up as a kid I was raised by my great grandmother that passed away in 2017 which strongly affected me, being as she was my motivation and she was always my biggest supporter.

She had told me before she passed away to chase my dreams and strive for greatness in soccer. This stuck with me and still does to this day as I want to honor my success with soccer to not only God but my great-grandmother as well. On and off the field I give it my all with everything I do and never give up no matter what. I strive to uplift everyone around me on the field and off, and I also strive to win. I try and show leadership on and off the field and when I'm not on the field I try to better myself not only through soccer and physically but academically as well. I try and maintain good grades all the time and study to help me gain more knowledge overall to succeed in school and in general.

I believe that my passion and love for soccer is something that not many have as I eat, sleep, and think constantly about soccer no matter what I'm doing. Soccer is always on my mind and soccer helps me to get through many things. My mindset is so much different from others I strive for success in everything I do, soccer has given me so much confidence and my mindset is to always grow to be better and achieve highly. Never settle for less, always reach for the stars. If you have faith, anything is possible!

My plan in college is to achieve at the highest level possible and get my Associates Degree in nursing, as well as my RN. After being an RN for a few years I plan to go back and get my BSN and MSN to later become a Nurse Practitioner.
