Maddox Smith '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddox Smith... my goal is to play soccer at the highest level while using my talents to attended college. I am currently a sophomore at North Lenoir HS where I am an A student in all my honors classes & a 3 sport athlete... I play varsity soccer, varsity tennis & JV basketball. I am a leader & an outspoken voice on all my teams. I am the starting midfielder for my HS varsity team & my U17 club team, I also play for my clubs 06 National League team & I am a contributor on the field. I have a good vision, an ability to see passing lanes, & place the ball in an area where I know my strikers can go get it, I can also be depended on to score goals when the opportunity presents it's self. I was recently awarded my HS All Conference Award & NLHS Impact Player Award. I had 18 goals & 16 assist to help lead my HS to the 3rd round of the NC 2A state playoffs, where we lost to the eventual state champion. I am dominant right foot but I can use my left just as well. Taking shots with accuracy & power from outside the box isn't a weakness but it's something I work on most everyday. I take most of my teams corner kicks & free kicks. I'm also able to make the throw in from the sideline to the box. For the past 4 years with my club I have played 1 year up from my age, & I have shown at the HS level I have the ability to compete with seniors. I strive to make an impact on my teams over these next 3 years while working my way on to a college roster.
