I have played soccer since I can remember and as I have matured, I knew that I wanted to play in college. I have been on teams where I was the best player on the field and I have played up on older teams where I struggled to match the game speed but I have always had the motivation to stand out from everyone which I think is what led me to succeed on the field but off the field too. The difference between me and the people I have played against is that when I am put into an environment where no one knows me, I focus on letting my performance speak and gain me recognition. I found that it is much easier to stand out on the field if you ignore the social aspects of soccer and prevent people from making expectations for me when I can just go out there and make my own expectations. I am just as motivated off the field as I am on the field and have always kept all As and if not a high B. One thing that I think has made me come from coming off the bench to the starting 9/last man and the leading goal scorer for the team is that I am always thinking about how I can get better even after I come out of a game with a hat trick. That doesn't mean I give up after a bad performance as performing badly has given me the ability to improve and is the main source of where my motivation is from.
