Ben Ziegler '20 Recruiting Profile

Academics and soccer are two key pillars of my life. It would be amazing to go to a school that pushes me to be the best version of myself both on the field and in the classroom. I enjoy the dynamics of a close-knit team that enjoys to work together on the field and off the field as well.

I stand out from other goalkeepers because of my communication, technical ability, and tactical awareness. I am able  to communicate and organize  with my back line and midfield to snuff out the opponents attacks, which leads to less scoring chances. I am a technically sound goalkeeper that takes pride in being in the right place at the right time. Frequently, I use my ability to decipher the game to find the opponent weaknesses and tendencies. I’m a very cerebral goalkeeper that understands the tactics of the game, which helps prepare me to make adjustments and adapt.

In the classroom, I take a difficult class load filled with numerous AP and Honors class.  As a student, I maintain a 4.30 GPA. Additionally, I was named academic all league. The difficulty of school and soccer has allowed me to be very efficient and careful with my time.
