Personal Statement
I have played soccer since I was little, but I didn't really dive into it until I started playing club soccer for Sycamore Premier in 6th grade, which I believe is a bit late. I began to watch soccer much more and have since learned to love the game. Soccer has taught me that I tend to improve at a faster rate than most players because I love to learn, so I am very coachable. Academically, I would love to learn as much as I can in high school, and continue to get good grades. I want to learn more about the areas of study I like, so I can plan for my future.
In the summer of 2020, I had a small obstacle when I learned I had SVT or more specifically AVNRT which prevented me from playing as hard as I could for months, but I had an ablation that has since prevented any signs of SVT. I believe that another obstacle I have struggled with is the speed at which I have grown taller. I never had time to grow into my body until the end of junior high when I began to slow down, so I was always uncoordinated until highschool. I am unique in my height, ability to maintain composure throughout games, and coachability. I would like to go to any college where I fit academically and I can learn to play at a higher level.
