Colin Johnson '26 Recruiting Profile

I would like to recommend to you Colin Johnson for your soccer program.

Colin has been playing for Westerville United soccer team for the past five years (2016-2020). Colin is a very hard working, versatile player who can play any position on the pitch, primarily as our teams’ top striker. He has fantastic speed and stamina, good touch, and great vision on the field. This year, his final year with me as head coach, he finished not only with 16 goals in 15 games but also 10 assists. He is not a forward who waits for the ball to be magically dropped on his foot, he hustles to make good runs, check back in to the midfield to create space behind him/be an extra option in the midfield, and always helps defensively, creating the double team when a team mate has contained the player with the ball. Colin played almost every minute of every game.

He doesn’t tire, he doesn’t give up. Colin was also voted as our captain for our team. His fellow players recognize him as a natural leader, and a man of character. They are willing to follow him in every practice and match. Colin is a fantastic young man who understands that there is more to soccer than winning, there is hard work, teamwork, unity, integrity, etc. that are all just as important as the score at the end of the game. He will get the job done, but he will not sacrifice character for the sake of a win. The fact that he has the work ethic to back it up makes him the player that everyone wants to have; coachable, honorable, and skilled.
