As an aspiring collegiate athlete, it is my goal to produce not only an elite performance athletically, but also to achieve a quality and purposeful education.
With both my parents graduating college and pursuing a graduate degree, it was always the expectation that I attend college or do some sort of valuable substitute. Throughout all of high school I worked hard to make sure that when the day came, I would be able to choose where I went to college, instead of being forced to pick a school I didn't necessarily want. On that journey I discovered the value of a high work ethic, as well as the importance of leadership. These are two traits I have thoroughly ingrained into my play as well. Ever since I started playing at the age of 5, I wanted to win. I was never one to 'just have fun.' Instead I approach every practice and every game like it was a championship; putting 100% effort in and striving to be a better competitor and player. Accompanying that is my leadership. I believe myself to be a natural born leader; that wherever I play and no matter who against, I bring my best to the team. Ranging from being a good role model for the younger players, to making sure my teammates know I've got their back, my leadership skills have become an integral part of not only my game, but my person as well.
As college approaches, my one goal in life is to make a difference. All kids develop looking up to a hero or role model who has made an impact on their life. Often that person is either an athlete, a family member, a community leader, etc., nevertheless every kid needs that one person. Whatever it is that my future holds in store, I hope to accomplish that, the positively influence the youth of tomorrow.
