Sam Burkholder '24 Recruiting Profile

It is my intention to continue my soccer career along side a team that shares my intensity for hard work and dedication, striving for excellence while preforming.  With that, I am determined to improve my game at the collegiate level .  My outgoing, friendly personality makes it easy for me to relate, listen and get along with everyone. Leading comes natural to me as I prepare my team to succeed on and off the field.  I have been team Captain all 4 years of High School, earning 4 Varsity letters in soccer. I have also earned 8 additional letters, both in Wrestling and Track& Field.  With Leadership, I bring a highly competitive mindset with the importance of goal setting. I can see the field and read gameplay well setting up our team for forward drives to score. My main positions are attacking mid, striker and either wing.  Both my feet are Dominant, as I am ambidextrous.   Standing 5'4" I've learned use my size to my advantage, utilizing my quickness and agility.   I have earned school records in goals per game and assists in a season. This year, I averaged 1 goal and 1 assist per game and earned Western Buckeye League honors and be playing in the NWOSSCA  District All Star Game.  I have also been awarded All Conference Scholar Athlete. I hold a 3.75 GPA  and am involved in several of our School Clubs. My plan is to earn my Undergraduate in Engineering and then my Masters in Architecture.   I am motivated to represent myself, my family, my school and my team with integrity and good Character.
