Personal Statement
I have played soccer nearly all my life, and it has given me some of my fondest memories and closest friendships. I love being around the game whenever I can, whether that means playing or watching games. I have been the captain of almost every team I have been on, which has taught me about leadership and patience. I have learned to be more confident and self assured through playing. I can't imagine my life without soccer, and this is why I wish to continue my career in college. I have always enjoyed pushing myself and competing with higher and higher levels of competition. I really look forward to pushing myself as a player on a college squad. I also want to find a school with the appropriate academics. School is very important to me, as I have always worked hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA.
If I was going to describe myself as a player, I think I would say I am mainly a distributor. I think my vision and passing are my strongest attributes. While I can be a threat on offense to score goals, I mainly look to set up my teammates and create the best opportunities for the team. I win many balls out of the air and also play physical. I hold myself accountable on every play and expect the best from myself whenever I am on the field. I believe that with my skill set and attitude, I could be a very valuable player for a college level team.
