I have been involved with soccer since I was six year old, playing everything from recreation, pickup, high school, and achieving my ultimate goal of being selected by the Columbus Crew Academy. Through the process I have realized the value of hard work, determination, and “grit”. My goal is to earn a College Scholarship to pursue my college degree as a student athlete.
As an outside, and center back, I have been well trained on the fundamentals of possessing the ball and precision passing. My defensive technique and speed have allowed me create turnovers, and get up and down the field to deliver crosses that give my team a chance to score. My leadership, and communications skills have improved, and have allowed me to achieve my goals with a focus towards getting better at every practice, and every game. I am an extremely hard worker both at practice and on my own.
In the classroom I have earned a GPA of 3.2 taking several advanced placement and honors courses which have been challenging. I value my faith, and I am a member of the Grace Fellowship Youth Group, which keeps me grounded, and focused. Over the years I have participated in soccer, basketball, and other clubs to help keep me well rounded. I desire to attend a college, and be a part of a program where culture is valued, and connection to teammates is foundational. My greatest attribute is being a great teammate which I value a lot.
My greatest accomplishment was being selected to the MLS soccer development academy for the Columbus Crew. I also was moved up to the Columbus Crew second team, and have started every game I’ve played in facing teams from the USL, and I have competed and performed well. I feel I would be a great asset to any program and look forward to the opportunity and challenges ahead.
