Personal Statement

Hi Coaches.  Thank you for visiting my profile. Though it may be difficult to know somebody off a website page, I will do my best to give you a snapshot of me.

I am part of the 2026 graduating class of Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio.  I play CAM/Forward for my high school team, and I am the CAM for my club team, Perrysburg Soccer Club.  This year as a Junior, I started Varsity for Northview: I scored 7 goals and had two assists. I earned 2nd Team for The National Lakes League Buckeye Division and Honorable Mention-All District.  Then as a sophomore, I also started Varsity for Northview: I scored four goals and had one assist. At the end of that season I received Honorable-Mention All District.   To improve my endurance and conditioning for soccer over this winter and spring, I will run track indoors and outdoors for Northview.

At this time I am planning to pursue a major in Supply Chain Management or a closely related business field.  I know when someone says “student-athlete” the student comes first.  That is why I have kept my GPA to a 4.0.   Besides playing soccer at an earlier age,  I also have been refereeing for the past six years.  I have learned that practice makes perfect; thus, if you want to be ready for game day, you have got to put in the work.  Ideally, I am looking for a program that also believes in practicing hard and would push me harder to be a better player and person.

Leadership Keep Working Excellent job taking charge and leading the team. Great communicator and motivator. Focusing more on how to channel the passion for the game can really boost your energy even more. Keeping that great team-first attitude is excellent, but try to share that energy every chance you get. It's great to see how coachable you are, asking questions and staying curious. Your confidence and competitive spirit shine through, and playing with urgency really sets you apart. Keep enjoying the game and stay open to learning! Your Physical Game Brayden showed great endurance and speed, which are key strengths on the field, especially when the game runs long. Balance was also impressive, keeping you stable and ready. To take things up a notch, work a bit more on explosiveness and strength. Try some strength training and sprint drills to boost those areas. Keep pushing, and you'll see even more improvement! Your Technical Game Great job with dribbling and passing; it's exciting to see how well you handle the ball and create chances for teammates. Think about how you can take this skill into shooting more often. How can you position yourself even better for scoring? And when defending, can you use your good footwork to win the ball back more often? Keep working on these areas and see how they can make your game even stronger. Your Tactical Game Improving on field spacing would really help in giving more options to your teammates during attacks. Try to keep awareness about defensive positioning, making sure you're in the right spot to help the team when the other team has the ball. Use your great vision and speed of thought to anticipate where the play is going next. By combining these with your skills in group play, you can become an even smarter and more effective player on the field. Keep working hard and stay focused on these improvements.
