I've played the beautiful game for as long as I can remember. I was first introduced to the game even before I could walk. When I was a baby I would kick the ball while on my back when my dad tossed it to my feet. I remember when I first fell in love with the game, and all of my passions, ambitions, aspirations, and goals of being a professional footballer, playing for a great college team, and representing team Canada, grew astronomically. Throughout my career and up to this point I’ve seen a lot of downs as a player. I’ve been cut by TFC academy multiple times, been cut by the provincial team as well as the national team. Over the period that I’ve been away from football I’ve been able to do a lot of physical training but at the same time, some self-reflection, and now I’m ready to prove to myself what I can do.
Although I want to prove to myself what I can truly accomplish I don’t only play for myself. I don’t even only play for my club, I play for my uncle who passed away; he was a huge Liverpool fan and I promised him that one day I’d go professional and make him proud. He is a huge reason as to why I love the game and play it.
Not only do I want to be a great footballer and athlete, but I also want to have success academically. I’m interested in business/commerce but I also feel that being a physiotherapist would be cool as well. But for now, my goal is to graduate high school with a 3.7 - 4.0 GPA. As I said before, I really feel that over the time that the season has been canceled due to Covid-19 I’ve learned a lot about myself, including my strengths and weaknesses. One skill that I feel that I am great at is being able to make a mistake, pick my head up and fix that same mistake I made, not only on the pitch but in the classroom as well. Some other traits that I possess that will ultimately help me in attaining my goals are my work ethic, determination, perseverance, leadership, and responsibility.
