Playing the sport I love for the past 11 years has shaped me into the person I am today, not only as an athlete and a scholar but into the well rounded positive and focused young man I am and strive to be. Playing soccer at the collegiate level has been my dream since I started playing the sport.
I continually strive to be the best player I can be on and off the field. Pushing myself to train hard and give 110% at all times. This is evident in my 8 clean sheets this winter season with the league title in our reach.
My discipline and focus in soccer along with my respect and commitment to my coaches and team mates has helped me to succeed in my academic achievements with the same level of commitment and focus in the classroom. My studies and courses at the university level have proved challenging but with my never give up attitude and drive I have been able to succeed.
The sport of soccer has given so much back to me over the years. It has taught me how to be hard working, confident and a positive team leader. These are skills and traits I want my future college to help me develop further on and off the field.
Outside the classroom and away from the field I enjoy cycling, touch football and referring recreational soccer in my local community club.
I owe my love of the game to my father, thanks Dad. He coached me and my younger brothers at a young age and always taught us the importance of fair play and respect for all.
Choosing a college which will help me elevate my game and push me to succeed in my studies is my ultimate goal.
