Personal Statement

As a current high school student, I aspire to get a good education post-secondary school and for the ability to be able to take my passion for soccer with me and to the next level. Soccer is more than a game to me when I look at soccer I think of how I have evolved around the game and how every year I tried to bring something new to the table. It was the passion and love I had for soccer that devoted my time to working hard day in and day out in the weight room so I could be stronger, gain proper discipline so I become a better student academically, and become more aware of the importance of time management. My whole life I was taught the importance of school and how school always had to come first for me, or else I would not be able to compete in sports. Therefore, school allowed me to have another perspective when playing sports and that soccer was not just about talent and skill, but also about mental strength and knowledge. Being smart academically contributed to better decision making and vision on the field for me as well.
