My name is Scott Kwarta, and I come from a family of goalkeepers. I started playing as a goalkeeper as soon as I was old enough to kick a ball. When I was eight years old, I played rep soccer in the summer and rep hockey in the winter. Soccer helped develop my coordination and agility, while hockey built my aggression and toughness.
In 2023, I decided to focus on goalkeeping at the highest level by joining the OPDL (Ontario Player Development League). Currently, I play for the Milton Magic U15 Showcase team and am the starting Junior Varsity Goalkeeper for my high school. Justin Ammar trains me at Shot Stopper Academy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Ammar).
I have been offered the starting position on my high school's Senior Varsity team for the 2025 season, even though it’s only my sophomore year. In June 2025, English Premiere League keeper Asmir Begovic will visit Shot Stopper Academy to assess my potential to play professionally abroad (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asmir_Begovi%C4%87).
