I am an extremely dedicated student athlete who is hoping to get into the math/science program. I have maintained good grades and have not fallen below a GPA of 4.0.
I am currently rostered and playing with the U19 TFC Academy (MLS) which is one of three professional academies in Canada.
Both of my parents are European specifically Portuguese and Italian so as you would imagine soccer is in my DNA and I personally love what I do..
I am well cultured and diverse as I have travel abroad and played/trained with many teams including professional first division coach's.
Most recently I spent 3 months over the summer training and played exhibition games with a professional team in Portugal which competes in the Liga 3.
I am both a leader on the field and in the class room so much that I won a prestigious award when representing my school at the MUN (Model United Nations) Conference and was asked to help build schools in the Dominican Republic during my one week winter break.
This year I was able to compete in the League One U19 Fall Reserve League with TFC Academy and I am delighted to say we went undefeated in the league and capped it off hosting the cup as champions.
I have the skill to compete at NCAA Division I level.
What I believe differentiates me from others are my grades, determination, commitment and work ethic both on the field and in the classroom. I am confident that I will be a valued asset to any men's soccer program as I am passionate about the game that I love and work extremely hard to better myself everyday. I think my style of play and strengths as a modern day keeper will benefit any squad deciding to take a chance on me.
Thank you,
Matthew Dovale
