Hello, and thank you to everyone reading this right now. My name is Shae Robinson, and I am different from other recruits. Not only am I a big, strong, hard-working, and technically skilled soccer player, but I am a great student, leader, and I'd like to say, person.
I am very competitive by nature, which I believe has really helped me as I have gone, and will continue to go through life. I consistently start and play the full 90 for my club soccer team. I was the team captain and MVP of my school volleyball team. I received an award for achieving the highest academic average in my grade as a 9th grader in 2021. I recently participated in the University of Waterloo's Cayley Contest (a math contest) where I achieved the highest score in my grade (grade 10) at my school. I was selected to be a peer leader by my teachers and guidance counselors. Finally, I received both Birchmount Park Collegiate's Athlete of the year, and BEAP student-athlete of the year awards as a 10th grader this year. I have a long list of accomplishments, which I attribute to my hard work, and I intend to work even harder over the next few years to ensure that I am able to continue on this path of achievement that I have set for myself.
Even with all of the great talking points that I have, I believe that actions speak louder than words. I promise to continue to work hard, so that when I'm on the field, I can showcase the difference between me and my competition.
I have two goals. I want to receive a scholarship so that I can continue to play the sport I love at a very competitive level past high school, and I want to become the best athlete at my school. These are two goals that I want to achieve by the summer of 2023.
Thank you to all who took the time to read my personal statement.
