I would like to play soccer at the collegiate level because it has always been a dream of mine to participate in the sport at a high level as well as completing a degree I am very passionate about, for me soccer is more than just a sport, to me it is a stress reliever, an avenue to make friends and have long lasting memories and most importantly it has a lot of lessons that not only apply to the game but to life as well, this game has helped me in so many aspects of my life from respect to hard work and discipline to communication skills and I honestly do not know where I would be without the sport. Coming from an Nigerian household a big part of our identity were academics and athletics so it’s in my blood to succeed as a student athlete. I believe I have a lot offer if given the chance however actions speak louder than words and I hope you will take a chance on me and give me the opportunity to showcase my abilities.
