My name is Joshua Bondoc and I am a 6' goalkeeper currently in my senior year in high school. I currently play for Vaughan Soccer Club in Vaughan, Ontario. I have also played in a few European tournaments, specifically in Portugal and in Holland.
I believe it is best to keep a balance between soccer and school. I currently have an 92% cumulative average in my academics. I believe that keeping my academic grades up to a high standard is very important. At present, I attend Mary Ward Secondary School, which is a unique self-directed learning high school.
In sports, I am determined and I put in extra hours outside of my academy practices in order to keep my skills sharp and stay physically strong. Playing as a goalkeeper for over eight years has taught me to be vocal and also how to be a leader on the pitch. I believe that these are skills that I can use in soccer and also in other aspects of my daily life.
I continue to play soccer because I truly love the physical and mental part of the game. I continually strive to challenge myself to play at a higher level of soccer while developing my skill set and quality of play.
