Dominic Cabral '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dominic Cabral, I am 5'11 and weigh 170 pounds. I played competitively for the Woodstock Soccer Club, before moving to the London Whitecaps OPDL team to become a permanent goalkeeper in 2021. Since playing here for a couple of years I've had the pleasure of being a captain to for my team. My father inspired me to play soccer at a young age. Since I was young, I always had the dream to become a professional soccer player and constantly improve my skill level to better myself as a soccer player. Recently, I've found an interest for playing soccer after my high school years at any college or university that provides me opportunities. 

I am a starter for the U16 London Whitecaps team. The level is about the development of players and will help players seek bigger opportunities for them to continue to play soccer after various club years. 

In past years, I have shown I am a versatile player on the field; I have played many positions and would be willing to help my team if I'm needed somewhere else. I've demonstrated my leadership on and off the field by being a great communicator and vocal. I am willing to help you correct your mistakes with a positive attitude and want to push other players to be their best. On and off the field, I am an easy person to get along with and will adapt to social situations. I constantly try my hardest in practices and games to enhance my skills and I never give up. I am a strong player who will come out hard against my opponents and not be afraid. 

I love to be involved in school sports and was a starter for my basketball, hockey and volleyball teams in elementary school. I hope to continue to play in high school and demonstrate my athletic abilities. 

As for university and college, I am leaning towards attending a school out west or down south. I'm open to any university or college that are willing to give me fantastic opportunities that help me towards my athletic and academic goals.  I am a bilingual student (French and English). Currently, I am still deciding about my major but I am currently interested in sports management and sports medicine.
