More is more. More soccer- more soccer competition, more soccer training, more soccer challenges, more soccer, more soccer. I am the kid out in the rain at the park by myself kicking goals or juggling. I am the kid running up the steep hill by my house during the summer break while my friends are still asleep. I always work harder than those gifted with pure talent. I have work ethic. I am a technical player with skill and intuition. I know when to play forward, or backward, or adjust to get into the best position for the ball and have great control. I am also not a selfish player, but always looking for a possible shot on goal. That is why I stand out. I have heart, am tenacious and athletic.
I also have strong personal character because of my experience in overcoming many different challenges, not just on the soccer field. I am dyslexic and struggled in elementary school. I put in hours upon hours of dyslexia tutoring to overcome the barriers I encountered each and every day. I am near fluent in Spanish (which is not common for people with dyslexia to know more than one language) am an honor student (I currently have a 3.75. GPA and a 3.83 weighted GPA). In school, just as in sports, I work harder. And that's what makes me distinguishable from the rest.
I will be a medical doctor, or researcher, or some kind of trailblazer in my future. I will always work the hardest, both on and off the field.
