Mingo Blackbird '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mingo Blackbird. I play soccer for Portland City United and I attend McDaniel high school. I am very dedicated to soccer and I am always putting in the work to become the best player I can be. In the classroom, I am just as focused and ambitious, I currently have a 3.75 GPA and I am taking AP Biology, AP Computer Science, and AP English Language as a Junior as well as Pre-calculus and Dual credit Spanish. I am proud to say that I represent the state of Oregon on the Oregon ODP team. It is always a privilege to play with some of the best talent in the state and compete at events like the Far West Regional Championships. One of my biggest strengths as a player is my versatility, I can play as a fullback on either side of the field, a winger on either side of the field, or as a striker, but I am also willing and keen to play any other position if needed for my team to succeed.

My goal as of right now is to play at the highest level possible in a collegiate environment. I think I bring leadership, composure, and passion to any team that I play for, and I can contribute to the team on and off the field.
