I have been playing soccer for my entire life. At 4 years old my uncle, the head of a local soccer club, had me playing and I loved the game since then. Each year I progress as a player and do things I never thought I could do. When I was entering High School I chose to attend a school where I did not know the soccer team or the coaches. My sophomore year I really wanted to make Varsity but unfortunately was put on JV. This decision upset me but only caused me to work harder. On JV I showed leadership and worked harder than I ever have before. About halfway through the season the Coach called me up to Varsity and within a few games I was starting on the Varsity team.
My perseverance and good attitude help me in Academics as well. My Freshman and Sophomore year I was not doing as great as I would like. Instead of giving up or continuing with the grades I had, I hit the books and made sure that Junior year I got the grades that I wanted. When I don't get what I want, it only causes to work harder and do anything in my power to achieve what I want.
