Hello, my name is Brett Kostik. Let me introduce myself, I am a 17-year-old Senior at Wyoming Area High School. I am the oldest of six children who all play soccer! I have played soccer since I was 7. I began to take soccer more seriously at the age of 12 when I started to train with Wyoming Valley Soccer Club and then Nitro. I played two years on the JV team for Wyoming Area, then started four years on my High School team. In my Junior year I was named Captain of my team and the following year I remained a Captain. This season I was named First Team All-Star in my Conference and was the offensive MVP for my team, scoring the most goals. I am also a member of the Nitro Soccer Club in which I train and compete year-round. Furthermore, I wanted to give back to my community while doing something I loved, so I became a certified referee for my local youth soccer organization.
I love soccer and will train and make it a priority, but honestly, my education comes first. While I have not declared a major, I am very interested in the chemistry and biological sciences. Also, I am looking not only to become a student athlete, but to make new friends along the way. Some other activities in which I participate include: Ski/Snowboarding, Key Club, National Honors Society, and altar server for my church.
I am looking at colleges that fit me personally and academically. I love soccer and will give anything to play in college! If I am given the opportunity to play soccer at a college that fits my personal and educational goals, I promise to give 100% as a player, student, and teammate. I have a few former teammates that are currently playing college soccer they love it and recommended it to me. As you can see, I am very dedicated to my soccer life. My love of soccer, dedication and hard work have helped me become the person I am today and would make me a great addition to your team! Thank you for your time and consideration.
