Finnegan Garner '24 Recruiting Profile

I am very passionate about soccer. I started playing when I was 6 and I’ve been in love with the game ever since. Playing at the highest level possible has always been one of my biggest goals. I play the game simply and effectively. I focus on keeping and moving the ball. I'm very intelligent on the field with my movement and awareness, and I am also a very hard worker. This intelligence and hard work also comes with me to the classroom every day, where I am an exceptional student. I'm looking for a school that is competitive and has my preferred style of simple, possession based soccer and one also holds high academic standards that will give me a quality education that will help me for when I'm ready to enter the workforce. 

I’ve always been a hard worker and I don’t complain.  I take a leadership role on most teams I’m on and always hold myself and teammates accountable towards our standards.  As a sophomore I was selected for membership in the National Honor Society.  I’m currently enrolled in AP and a college level class, and also took 2 honors classes my freshman year. I am currently ranked 42nd in my class of nearly 500.  I make sure to prioritize my academics first, and I’ve been able to balance school and soccer, keeping my GPA above 95 since 6th grade.
