Gustin Reynolds '14 Recruiting Profile

   As a student I am very determined to be the best that I can be.  My parents have taught me that hard work in life will pay off as long as I do the best of my ability.  I carry that emotion with me in everything I do.

   On the soccer pitch I was able to varsity letter for my high school team as a freshmen and have been a varsity starter ever since.  I have pushed myself in the game at different levels.  I play club soccer  and have attended many competitive summer soccer camps and ID clinics at Division 1 and 3 schools.  I practice every day to make myself a better player.  I typically play in the center of the field and have played many positions from center back to center forward to center midfield.  My favored position is the defensive midfield.  From that position I feel I have the ability to stop the attack, posses the ball and see the field to create directional changes that have a positive influence in the game.  From here I feel I am leading my team to victory by orchestrating the play.

   In my  future I hope to attend a great academic institution and major in a field of science.  I would like to pursue a degree in medicine where I feel that I can use the skills I have learned in the classroom along with the leadership I have learned on the field to assist people in the center and most crucial areas of their lives.  I hope to diagnose disease learn how to halt it and redirect my patients lives into a positive and forward direction with a better outlook to their future.

   I am a hard diligent worker that you would never regret having on your team.  If my skill is not good enough to start on your team, I will work your starters to their maximum ability in practices so they are better on the game field.  Over time, I am sure my hard work will force me to improve my game so that I can ultimately earn a spot on the team.
