Akira Heath '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a fearless goalkeeper who aims to shut out opposing teams at every game, while I always motivate and lead my team on the field.  I excel in high-pressure situations like penalty kicks and break-away shots because I understand that my mental game is just as important as my physicality.   

I am extremely disciplined and hard-working, and train on my own almost every day in addition to participating in games and 5+ team practices per week.  I also take command of my nutrition by creating and preparing healthy recipes.

In my junior year of high school, I started and played every game of the 21-game Varsity soccer season, achieving 8 shut-outs.  

I hope to apply my strong academic abilities in computer science and STEM courses towards a degree and career in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity or computer engineering.   There are so many ways that computers, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity makes our lives better, easier, and more protected.
