Personal Statement
I am a 5'6" midfielder from Oley, PA. I am entering my senior year at Oley Valley high school and will graduate in the year of 2020. Soccer has always been a passion and drive of mine. I am focusing intently on soccer and academics, because I know how important it is to be successful in life both on and off the field. Currently I have been working hard in an attempt to improve upon my SAT scores.
Throughout my high school career I plan on continuing helping out the community through volunteering. I have already participated in various community endeavors including: donating time at a local shelter, collecting canned goods for a USPS food drive, and I have volunteered for the United Way Big Cheese Project. This year I have already volunteered helping with Mike Sturla's backpack give away, assisted with setting up the Oley Valley Community Fair as well as volunteered with helping out our youth soccer club. I enjoy helping the community and use the experience I garner from volunteering as a catapult to help improve my leadership abilities on the pitch.
Two years ago high school soccer was very exciting as we made it to the state semi-finals, losing to the eventual state champion. Starting as a sophomore throughout the state playoffs was a tremendous opportunity that has given me valuable experience. This year as a senoir and being the team captain I am looking forward to help lead my team trying to make districts again and then a deep run in the State playoffs! Adding to my soccer experience includes playing soccer overseas on two different occasions-first to Scotland with Pennsylvania ODP and then to Sweden with my premier club, Reading Rage SC. Looking forward, I am very eager for next season with my high school team as team captain and my premier team, FC Revolution United, as they all will continue to help me sort out which college/university will be the best fit for me as I continue to talk to various coaches. I am looking forward to investigating different colleges, returning to the State playoffs, and competing in college showcases. Constantly working hard and improving my game has ultimately led to being named All-State as a Midfielder this 2019 season.
I am registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center. My ID number is 1901386828
