Mike Vereb '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Michael Vereb. I attend Pope John Paul 2 High School Royersford, Pa. I've played soccer my whole life and I've played high school soccer since freshmen year. I play both Forward and Outside Midfield. I have very good speed and good stamina. I am just hitting my growth spurt and I've grown about 5 inches since last year and about 20 pounds and I've seen it all in my play such as aggression and physical play. I preferably use my left foot but my right foot has been improving. When I get the ball my coach always taught me that always know what the next play is when you receive the ball and that has helped me throughout my whole career because I can think of my next move before I get the ball. Our team this past season made playoffs for the first time in our existence of a school, which is 4 years.as a team I think we've improved our relationships as friends and teammates and I think that's what put Us in the playoffs, yes we were a very skilled team but when someone's head went down someone on our team picked it up. My dreams are to play soccer in the professional league but I know how difficult the task is and I'm willing to take any challenge to improve my skills and mind set of the game. My goals are to finish my senior year, which is next year, with an outstanding amount of stats and to try to get some type of conference recognition. Also to put my team back in the playoffs and to not give up until the final whistle. My aspiration after senior year is to get into a school with good academics and a good and tough soccer program. I am always committed to play soccer in any condition and will always work my hardest at every game, training, and academics.
