Michael Bone, Jr. '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

I currently am a 18 year old Sr. who is muti-sport athlete that has been highly motivated at an early age to compete at the highest collegiate level. I have set high goals both athletically and academically and continue to work extremely hard to accomplish those goals. I am a determined, focused, driven, coachable and hard working leader.

In baseball, I was a 4 time little league all-star and captain. I was a Babe Ruth all-star and a member of our conference champion team. I was a member of our Connie Mack conference champion team. I was a member of our American Legion conference runner up team and I am currently a member of the Pocono Mountain Warriors travel team. I was also a member of the Pocono Mountain East baseball team for 2 years, but currently decided to focus on soccer year round to improve my skills. I also played basketball my freshman year and was voted captain.

Although I love baseball and basketball, soccer is the sport I truely believe I can play at the collegiate level. I was the 1st freshman to start at varsity goalkeeper in the history of my high school. I am a 3 year starter and our team has been ranked in the top 10 in the state of Pennsylvania several times the past 2 years. In 2015, we were conference runner up in the highly competitive, 18 team,  Eastern Pennsylvania Conference. I have been a member and captain of the Keystone Athletic Elite travel team and currently am a member of the highly ranked Lehigh Valley United travel club. I was recently 1 of 16 players chosen to a U17 National Team that will be representing the United States in the 2016 World Games in Austria. I have attended several college soccer camps and games this summer and am confident that I can compete at the highest level.

Academically, I have a 93% average which converts to a 4.0 GPA and have made the honor roll 12 straight marking periods. I have challenged myself by taking Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, 3 years of Honors English, Honors Civics, Honors Physics, Honors History, AP Geography and 2 years of AP Chemistry. I plan on majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Business with the ultimate goal of attending Veterinarian or Dental School. I have been musically trained in piano for the past 11 years and in bass guitar for 3 years. I am involved in the Big Brother Big Sister Program, help with several church activities and donate my time helping underprvileged children. I consider myself well rounded, a team leader and would love to learn and contribute at an excellent academic and athletic institution.
