My name is Emilio Solis-Pijem and I am 17 years old. I began playing soccer when I was 3 and haven't stopped since. Now that I'm 17, going pro would be a dream come true, but being able to get a scholarship, obtain a great education, and play the sport I love at a highly competitive level would be amazing as well. Throughout the years, on and off the field, I have been taught many attributes by my parents and coaches that will help me to succeed. I am very respectful, disciplined, considerate, and dedicated. As a player, I can be a leader figure and motivate my team whenever it is needed. I have been described to have great vision and technical ability on the field and the composure and calmness under pressure to build from the back effectively. Central defenders can’t only rely on their individual abilities, but must also be very strategic and intelligent players in order to organize the defensive units around them. I believe that I can be an asset by using my experience, strength, speed and awareness on the field to minimize the effectiveness of the opposition and create offensive opportunities for my team. In school, I am a highest honor student with a 4.0 GPA. I look forward to continue to work hard, persevere and achieve my goals.
