Alexander Botelho '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Alex Botelho and I am part of the graduation class of 2020 and plays LW-LWB -RW-RWB for Mt. Hope High School and Bruno United. I believe I am a good candidate because I know nothing comes easy, everything is built over determination, time and patience. I was never a great, purely gifted soccer player. Over time, I've been able to silence those who have known me to be the local  C team travel  Star to starting varsity my sophomore year. I went from someone who was unreliable, slow, and didn't love the sport. After hours and countless days of blood, sweat, and tears, I have become stronger.  I found myself as a player. I went from loosing on dirt patches to competing in the highest youth-levels of club soccer in New England, called the Northern Premier League for Bruno United. So far, we have won countless tournaments, the IMG Cup, and most recently the State Cup.

Academically,  I've strive in whatever I put my work into. I catch on easy and believe in putting into work into whatever is done in the classroom as well as on the field.  I have a weighted 3.0 GPA and continue to raise that and receive honors as a Student-Athlete.

I have an eye for success and want the success to be driven towards my family. I wanted soccer to take me somewhere where I can repay them for all the struggle they went for me. That is my mission.
