I've loved playing soccer for as long as I can remember and I'm excited to continue to play in college. I'm still excited for every training and game for any team I play for and I especially love playing in the big games - the games against the highly ranked clubs in national tournaments, the night games against a rival in front of the whole school - it's a fantastic feeling, especially when you win. Thanks to how I've been coached, I'm a very versatile player, but I most often play in the center of the field, either as a CM or a CAM. That same coaching approach has given me lots of experience playing in a variety of styles - from playing out of the back and keeping possession to more direct and vertical style that focuses on organized and disciplined defense. I'm a very coachable player and great teammate and I believe that I have the technical skills, athleticism and soccer IQ to be a strong contributor to a college program.
I have always played up an age group in a very competitive club and have played for my school's varsity team since the 8th grade, so I'm used to going up against bigger opponents. I take pride in my defense, don't shy away from tackling and always track back when we're out of possession. With the ball, I feel that I'm highly adaptable to different situations in the game and that I make very good decisions and have a good sense of when to maintain possession or take chances.
One thing that I'm working on is trusting my right foot more in games to make the pass or shot I see but take the left-footed option instead. I am naturally left-footed but my right foot is strong as well and I've scored nearly as often with my right as I have my left.
One of the things I take most pride in is my work rate on the field - I run the entire game which always puts me in a great position to help my team. Since I was young, I have always been able to keep going, even when everyone is tired.
