Personal Statement

My collegiate goals are to play soccer at the next level while working on my education and future career. I have always been committed and dedicated in anything that I do. I live by the three D's, dedication, determination, and discipline. It is important to me that I am always dedicated to my teammates, coaches, and fans/support system. I am also determined to do my best everyday and execute challenges. Lastly, I am disciplined because I listen, I take advice, and I am coachable. I am always looking to be better than I was yesterday. Some things that make me different from other recruits is that I am competitive in all aspects: soccer, life, and education. I am hopeful that I can play on a team at the collegiate level, and continue to build onto my soccer family.

Coach's Comments paul ... my name is michael meachum i'm the head mens coach at midwestern state university. i want to thank you for taking the time during your holiday break to come work with up in OKC. with you being a 2022 grad and things pretty hot and heavy for you please let me know if there is every anything i can do to help you during this process. here are just a few things that i believe that can help you. as being a defender i believe from what i saw you need to really focus on two things your passing to break lines and your communication. like i spoke about before passing and breaking lines for us is something at the next level is going to be very very important make sure you get your head up and read the play early so you are aware of what and where you can play this is what i believe can change you and your play to be at the next level. you must start to help yourself and teammates by communicating early and often this just doesn't mean the vertical leap like jumping up and down ... i take this as how do you read the direct ball and how do you not only fix your shape to attack it but how you communicate while reading it ... make sure you fix your body shape for a early drop so you can time to jump to win the ball Coach Meachum left you a voice message:

Coach's Comments Paul will be a great addition to any college program. He has the ability to play anywhere along the back line. He is also a very good individual defender. Paul is a technical player who will continue to better his skill set. Need to improve your ability to win everything in the air. This will give you a a great advantage to win balls over forwards much easier. Must be a leader in the back. You can see the whole field. Dominate players with your physicality. This will help you stand out.
