Dylan Rochlen '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dylan Rochlen.  I am currently rated  #149 in the IMG Academy 150, #17 in the State of Texas, and #52 in the US as a Midfielder. I am so excited to take the next step in my soccer and academic journey.  I'm proud of my past achievements which include leading my team in assists (and second in goals) for two years in the US Development Academy  (Lonestar Soccer Club.)   I also played for two years for the MLS-based Austin FC (scored the first goal in academy history).  Currently, I play for an Elite Program in ECNL for Westlake Soccer Club.  My goal is to play high-level soccer at a competitive Division 1 school with an excellent academic program.   I believe I'm well prepared for this step, due to a strong academic/soccer background and having outstanding coaches/mentors  My current coach, Brian Young, was a former College Coach (St. Edwards University) which has further helped my college readiness. 

I've had many international playing and training experiences in Spain and Argentina.  Academically, I have a class rank of 3 out of over 600 students at Austin High School with a weighted GPA of 4.6.   Finally, I have strong leadership skills and have had many non-soccer experiences that have benefited me including working in the service industry, being an assistant to a Physical Therapist, and volunteering for a non-profit (Soccer Assist).  

Please note my play (and related videos) during the 2021 season was limited due to significant growth-related injuries. During this time, I grew 7 inches and gained 40 lbs of muscle. Currently, I am healthy and back to my pre-injury form with a bigger, stronger body!
