Personal Statement

My name is Jacob D Meacham. My priorities are God, Family, Soccer and Friends. Since I was 8 or so, my goals have been to better myself as a person on and off the field. I played all sports (football, baseball, soccer, track, and basketball).

I want to carry my love of this game into college. I am dedicated, hard-working, coachable, disciplined, attacking player and personable. well-balanced, goal-oriented outside back.

My focus is always to better myself (technical, tactical, attacking and playing the ball out of the back).

Moving forward, I want to be a part of a team, competing at a high level in both academics and athletics. Soccer is my passion!

I am willing to walk on for the right program and fit.

showed well in 11 v11, 7 v7 and skills breakouts. Met a few really great coaches from Louisville, Michigan St and Dallas Baptist. Coach Campbell from Louisville gave me good feedback: Defending - Aggressive as a defender. Good footwork and positioning, and seems to enjoy the 1v1 battles. Defensive Awareness - Understands team defensive schemes, shows understanding of positioning and angles. Group Play - Play was elevated in team activities. Great understanding of your roles and responsibilities within a team. Coachable - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process. Team Player - Great team-first attitude. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. Coach Comments Jacob was a pleasure to coach this past weekend. He is a hard working player, coachable, and has good passing skills. He exemplifies his selfless attitude making him a valuable asset to both his teammates and his coach.
