Jannis Denker '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jannis Denker and I'm right now an foreign exchange student from Germany. I came to the United States to improve my English and to enjoy the school spirit and the different culture. In the last 5 months I got to know the American culture and the general and so different High School life. I'm a Junior in Highschool, but because the German school is on a higher level I can't skip one year of school in Germany. So I would graduate in Germany in Summer 2024. 

I play soccer since I'm 5 years old and decided to be a goalie 5 years ago. I love to play offensive and risky, like my goalkeeper coach taught me in Germany. My high school team plays differently but I was able to adapt relatively quickly. Last year I had the opportunity to play against the youth teams of German professional soccer clubs, but our season got relatively fast cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Academically I don't know so far what exactly I want to study, but it shouldn't be an office job. Obviously it would be perfect if my future job has to do anything with soccer.
