Joel Anderson '28 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Joel Anderson and my dream is to play professional soccer. Currently, I attend Coram Deo Academy and have a 4.0 unweighted GPA. While focusing on my schoolwork I play striker for my school's varsity soccer team. I also play left back on Vaqueros, a club team on the NPL level.  I strive to push myself academically and physically.  I love soccer because as a left back I am forced with the challenge to read my opponents next move and anticipate it. At the striker position, I love figuring out my opponents mistakes and flaws and using them to help my team win. In my opinion, soccer is the ultimate sport because of the constant fast pace of the game.  I also referee soccer to further familiarize myself with the rules and to learn new moves and tactics.  I love refereeing because I love helping kids learn the game that I love to play. In my free time I volunteer in the KIDS area and participate in the students ministry.   For fun my friends and I have an indoor team which we play on.
