Zachary McCormick '26 Recruiting Profile

Football (soccer) has always been my passion in life. Ever since I was 3, I’ve been playing the sport. I fell in love, and I’ve never quit since. I’d often play with kids older than me, and play with several teams at once. I primarily play starting centre back, although I can play at fullback and defensive mid. I am known for exceptional defensive effort, great leadership, and sharp vision. I am not afraid to go into a hard tackle, and I can break an opposition block.

Until February 2024, I attended a football oriented private school with high standards on and off the field. I currently have straight A’s in all advanced classes. I have kept these grades for over 4 years. In 8th grade public school standardized testing, I only got one question wrong across the 4 administered tests.  I switched back to public school so I would have more opportunities in academics. I also volunteer as a teen attorney for a youth court to learn more about law.  As a teen attorney, I defend teenagers with minor legal infractions.  

In football, I would like to play for a D1 or D2 college. In academics, I’m interested in attending a university with a challenging pre-law, chemistry, or pre-med program, with a campus in or near a large city. My preference is in the northeastern US, but I'm definitely open to considering other areas.
