Over the years, playing soccer have become much more to me than just another extra-curricular activity or something you do to stay fit. I have come to appreciate the discipline involved to play as a team, form lasting friendship, and how to develop strategies to achieve desired results.
I play as a forward and enjoy the versatility to play as a right winger, left winger, or striker, depending on the Coach’s formation. I have some strong capabilities when playing any of these roles, and some weaknesses which I am working on. I strive to continually improve on my skill and dedication to the game of soccer, and for the progress of my team.
Sometimes ago, I remember my dad talking to me about how important an individual player’s on-the-ball and off-the-ball movement is to team’s success. I view my off-the-field activities as an integral part of my overall development as a citizen as well. Hence, I am committed to my academic goals, building a career in business, and living with integrity of heart and purpose. I also believe in using my sports platform to give back to the less privileged in my community, as a tool to promote goodwill towards a more equal society. My hobbies outside soccer and school are cooking, hanging out with friends, and reading inspirational books.
