Hello, my name is Alejo.
If you're reading this, you may be wondering what is difference between this athlete compared from other recruits.
Id like to start off with some of my collegiate goals and aspirations. Ever since I was 6 years old, I fell in love with the game of Soccer, especially goalkeeping. Each day I have the constant urge to better myself at the game. This trait was adopted by the age of 8, after receiving my blackbelt in Tai Kwan Do.
My dream is not only to make it professionally, but to also reach my maximum potential, and surpass it. Im a player who will pour their blood, sweat, time, and tears for the team and for the game. This has led for me to achieve great opportunities. Getting my own sponsorship by Schenelle gloves, traveling to Spain to train with Ernesto Garcia and the youth UD Las Palmas, professional soccer team in Canary islands in Spain.
After playing and training with different goalkeeper coaches, in 2015, I had the opportunity for ex-professional goalkeeper Miguel Beccera to become my mentor and private goalkeeping coach.
I continued my early career in different clubs, like Texans, I achieved varsity soccer in my freshman year without tryouts as the, Erik Lane, was already familiar with my ability.
I continued working hard and had the opportunity to be selected, by Miguel Beccera, when i was 16 years old, to play in the u19 DA for Texans before my decision to continue to further my high school soccer career. Although i was not allowed to play in DA due to regulation rules, I continued to train each day with the academy.
I am not only just the most passionate player on any team, but also the hardest working academically and physically. Regardless of my training schedule, which consists of 1 gym workout session, 1 private goalkeeping session, and 1 club session , but I also participate in many AP classes and constantly improve to get the highest test scores academically. My dream is not necessarily to get into an amazing college, but to show my work ethic and skill in and off the field.
